When does the soccer season start for BVB IA CDA?
-
We offer year-round soccer opportunities.
-
The official Fall season runs from August 15th to the first week of November.
-
The official Spring season runs from March 1st to the first week of June.
-
These are peak attendance periods after the offseason.
-
Tournaments may be scheduled around these dates.
-
Tryouts typically occur between late May and June, as dictated by IYSA and local clubs.
*Dates are subject to change based on availability, schedules, and league requirements.
-
Offseason includes summer and winter dates, with futsal and outdoor practices.
What tournaments does BVB IA CDA play in?
-
Tournaments are determined by club leadership and coaches. We aim to offer both local and travel options. Possible locations include:
-
Montana
-
Western Washington (Seattle)
-
Spokane
-
Inland Northwest
-
Boise
-
Oregon
-
*Some teams may travel to further locations depending on skill level, coaches, and parent input.
What leagues does BVB IA CDA play in?
-
The club currently plays in two local leagues:
-
WISL (Washington Inland Select League) – 8 games in Fall and 6 in Spring. https://washingtonyouthsoccer.org/leagues/wisl
-
WIPL (Washington Inland Premier League) – 10 games in Fall and 8 in Spring. https://washingtonyouthsoccer.org/leagues/wipl/
-
*Some teams may play in other leagues such as WPL, EA, or DPL. These will be communicated to teams before the season starts
Will there be travel?
-
Yes, the leagues cover a large area of the Inland Northwest. A map outlining the territory is available.
Is there an Idaho league we can play in?
-
Yes, but the panhandle area only offers WISL and WIPL as local leagues. Other Idaho leagues are based in Boise, which is a 7-hour drive, so they aren't considered local options.
What are the expected travel distances?
-
Travel for WISL and WIPL can include locations such as Yakima, Sandpoint, Lewiston, Tri-Cities, and Spokane. New teams may be added by the league, expanding travel destinations.
What does travel look like?
-
There will be both home and away games. You may have away games for two or three consecutive weeks.
-
We cannot control away game schedules but can request preferred times. Game times may change up to 48 hours before kickoff.
What if I can't commit to all the travel?
-
Club soccer requires commitment from everyone. Communicate early with the coaching staff if you have travel concerns.

*Exceptions should be rare and not habitual.
What days are league games?
-
Games are typically on weekends, though some may occur on weeknights.
-
We try to avoid scheduling home games on Sundays, but away games may fall on Sundays.
When will we know the league schedule?
-
Schedules will be posted one week before league play starts.

*Schedules are subject to change for rescheduling or travel adjustments.
